2008 Beijing Olympics

Ok, first off, just saying, if you were playing WoW while this happened, what the fuck seriously this is literally the moment of the world where the only time to world unites...

I think that China really did a kick ass job during the opening ceremony of the 2008 Olympics. The different acts they did included such enthusiasm and also was very spirtual. China really did such an amazing job on the opening ceremony that I just couldn't believe it. This was just such a huge impact on my day from long ceremonies and wedding praying....

I couldn't see my country Cambodia, I mean I saw it but I didn't see the population and the number of contestants.

Toward the end when China entered the arena, there was a little boy that joined Yao Ming in the flag holding. His name was Lin Hao I think and when I heard his story, it truly influenced my life.

During May, there was an earthquake in China that took many lives. Lin Hao was a surviver of the earthquake. He actually went into the earthquake and rescued 2 of his classmates. 20 of his 32 classmates died that horrible day. When reporters asked why the little kid did it, he said, "It was my job, im the hall monitor". I truly think that was such an influence and inspiration that just can't be trifled with.

And if you didn't, really.... shame on you.... there is absolutely no excuse why you shouldn't have watched some of it... It was just amazing....

I'm serious now, if you didn't watch it, don't even post because you don't deserve to be part of the world for missing the olympics....

i didn't watch, coz i don't care i love only few sports no athletic, and i only wait for the Tae Kwon Do WTF at olympic =]

olympics=gay , but i watched lol.... nah and theyre not gay , i might actually not be on that much cause of the olympics

anyways i watched it last night, good stuff, fairly epic, in a good way.

haha i was never interested in the olympics and im greek! The only thing that makes me watch for a few hours are the opening ceremonies, which can be awesome. I watched the opening in beijing and i have to say that i was impressed! The thing that drew my attention the most (appart from the earthquake-survivor kid) was their ability to control such a large crowd and at the same time maintain synchronization. china did a remarkably good job!! Im sure my chinese friends are exploding from pride atm and i am truly happy for them

NO!!!!...MAlaysia lost the gold medal match...badminton singles......lin dan was on steroids..........lol the soldier boy won the match...hope he gets killed if china ever goes to war...:p....btw he's in the PLA...so he will go to war if they ever do.....haha..then maybe we'll get the gold medal...
