Do you want DKP back?

This will not be as easy as it was so think carefully before you answer. Here's a few things to think about.

What time should Graids be?

This is important because in the old days, when there was a set time, Graids were the best and everyone HAD to go if they were online. Tony brought up the fact that a schedule was needed, that is definitely very true, so here it is...

Officers, we will HAVE to have 2 schedules of graids, one in the morning server time and one in the evening. We have to face it, the majority of our guild logs in at two different times so we should accomodate. With that side, in order to support this function, we will need dedicated officers to run the Graids during those times. Let me know if you agree or not and depending on this poll, I'll start an officers topic about scheduling.

Another thing...with loot the way it is on legion, is it even worth to bring DKP back?

Please get DKP back because it will be more fair for everyone and with it you can keep track of who is entering raids and how frequent someone joins.

btw i kinda bummed out that the old dkp point we made at TBC were wiped.

I belive the DKP should be briught back it helps us raid as a guild as we should!

i voted yes but becouse of kinda strange reason, not because of fair loot or shit but because of promotions mainly

i think we should bring the DKP system back. it will create more equal community cuz we will be able to track who joins g-raids and who misses them. besides that, people who raided a lot will get their chance of getting a rare item that they are willing to get.

I guess I really can't have as much of a say, because I'm not level 80, but we should definitely reinstall the DKP method. That was the reason why our guild was in such a prosperous state of mind: because DKP was helping keep the guild raids into check. yes ofc brign dkp back, it wil solve all our problems regarding raids: loot, more guildies online, promotions, socialising.

That, yes... Please do tell us why you're voting no so we can try to resolve the issues and make it easy for everybody.

actually i was one who voted no for DKP. Not because i'm against it, but for only one reason really...I'm afraid that with only one instance, is it really worth raiding, is there really a point to have DKP? Plus...in order for DKP to be very effective we'd have to learn from our past mistakes...one was random DKP raids. It was unfair, and people couldn't join consistently. I remember when it was 12:00 PM everyday before, and people were lining up to join...we had to tell people graids were full! Then i started leading them randomly when i had time, and i was begging people to join...it got really annoying.

Anyway, no one has really mentioned anything about the set schedule, so that's another reason why i don't think DKP should come back. But if the officers would be willing to support two graid schedules, I move for it to be 11:00 AM server time and 11:00 PM server time. since my schedule has changed for a month and a half, I can run the graids sun - wed at 11:00 PM server time. Of course I wouldn't want to do it the whole time, so we'd need some other officers to step up and say what they can do. Additionally, if you're worried about learning the DKP addon tool, it's really quite simple. I figured it out on my own with a little help from Gouda and Luis, so really it just takes a bit of motivation to learn it.

For now I'll keep working on the loot tables until we figure out what's up. I'd like to see more officers saying what they can do here, or if vets or willing to step up and help with DKP? Maybe it's time for more officer promos? I dunno just throwing stuff out there...i'm also babbling a lot cuz i'm listening to this meeting for work too, so don't mind me if i don't make sense...

i think i was 3rd for a long long time then was 5th on dkp list ( i might still be top for overall dkp ever) so don't go sayin i never attended graids, but emm,

the problem is




new members.......... they complain all the time. "omg i went on 5 raids and didn't win anything". now personally, i don't think its fair either, we had what..... 10-15 people with 700-800 or more dkp? i think i had 1.5k @ some point, bb had 2k+?

and how the hell are new members gonna roll against us? not that i'm proud to say it, but i geared like.. 2 alts in .... a week's worth of graids? same with rusty i think? literally just stole all teh loot, tho i USUALLY ended up feelign bad + not rolling a few t6.......

too much trouble, just /roll.


then again, most of u who voted prolly weren't even here to see this problem.

if dkp dont work out due to li's point.

Lichen's point is quite valid, the vets that get to gear other alts first before the new members, something just ain't right. So here's my solution to that... (remember I voted no DKP too) but it seems the majority wants to keep it going. Anyway, We still share DKP with alts, but in any given raid, if an Alt is gonna roll VS a main, then you will be limited to 1 item per Graid. This should keep the greed, whining, unfairness, and cat scratches to a minimum. On top of that, it will really give everyone a chance to show their helpfulness by joining graids not to just gear their alts, but to also help others and have fun, (ultimately our true goal right?) And of course you won't walk away empty handed...(1 item per graid) i think that's pretty fair. That's about the average you win in pugs...if even that right?

This can be compromised.

I basically feel that you should only have 1 character per raid, no exceptions. You really can only live up to a characters full benefit on 1 character. No one, I repeat, NO ONE can really play 2 characters simultaneously and expect the same results from 1 person playing on only 1. It's bullshit.

On a second note, I feel we should remove the "Share DKP" betweem characters permenantly, like how it was when DKP was effectively with Shade through the summer. This just made sure that you needed to use all your characters.

I don't know if I am eligible to vote/participate yet, but I voted Yes.

I have been to multiple PUG raids for KT @ naxx but I havnt received the mace yet, simply because all the people rolling on it. As the DKP looting system is based on the actual members performances according to the raid attendance, it is fair to him/her to receive items in top priority. I was discussing with my other friend about DKP system and he mentioned that one of the guild member had so many DKP points that new players didn't get chance to loot for many days because he got gears for all his alts.

I am not going to question DKP system, but I think that there should be a limit on number of alts you can gear up within some period or say number of raids. e.g. A guy can only gear up his X number of alts for consecutive 3 raids. So that new players who have started with 0 DKP will also get chance to loot. Just my opinion.

very nice comments guys, we need everyone's input to make this as fair as possible.

Just another note...one reason we instituted the sharing system was because we didn't have enough participation so we relied on alts to fill in the gaps. Hopefully that won't be the case this time, cuz honestly, linking and sharing was just too much of a pain in the arse to keep up with.

So far, i'm leaning towards lee's direction. No sharing DKP, if you wanna gear up an alt, then raid with it and earn the points with each character.
