Ok i see there are many anime fans here so i decided to open topic just for anime and manga fans.

I like all kind of animes especially Comedy's.

Some of mine best animes are:

ONE PIECE -> Best long-series anime ever. DBZ is just childlish and have lack of Story. Bleach is good but hell too much shitty fillers. I never wanted 2 try Naruto fuck ninjas
Death Note -> Thats from where i get nick "light" maybe ill call mine next char Kira. Very exciting and interesting anime. I had "Adrenaline Rush" when i watched last episode !
Hellsing and Devil May Cry -> Very similar animes, both are short /13 and 12eps/ and both main chars are cool xD Alucard and Dante rocks
Great Teacher Onizuka -> Very funny comedy, i lol at Onizuka every time i see him
Hunter X Hunter -> Good anime, i liked it very much but i watched it 2-3 years ago so i forgot very much about that anime, good fur Huntards
FMA- > Great story, Alchemists ftw, i heard new series will be on soon yay cant wait
Wolfs Rain -> Omfg thats fuckin sad anime, Elfen lied too
Golden Boy -> One BIG LOL

I just read manga "Claymore" but its still on going, its very good and i recommend u 2 read it too.


WTB some posts and recommendations for anime

only watched a few episodes of one piece on tv, i'd like to follow it and/or pick up the manga, but that's my last resort in case i had like 2 months of free time to kill.
i follow bleach anime (should be using past tense here. i skip most filler seasons, including the current one ) and the manga.
used to follow naruto anime, til it got into fillers. i still follow the manga though.
finished claymore anime, following the manga. i'd love to see a second season of the anime. but i doubt it's gonna come cuz the first season ended differently from the manga.
finished fma anime, following the manga. probably gonna watch the anime second season too.
watched deathnote movies, read the first couple dozen chapters of the manga. never touched the anime (not so great without the suspense and mystery)
finished tenjou tenge anime, following the manga. fuck yes, more fanservice pl0x
finished gundam seed + destiny.

i like animes with action and some suspense. stuff like gore or fanservice is ok as long as there is other contents to go with it.

Just started watching bleach a few days ago...loving it so far.

When Ichigo is trying 2 save Rukia is best part of anime, after 67 episode most of eps are blowed

my advice: skip all filler seasons.

Episode 38 ATM, Ichigo vs Kempachi.
I'm guessing Kempachi's gonna kick his ass.

My favorite was Hellsing so far.

There's Hellsing OVA which is like a remake of the original and it's allot messier.

I head Hellsing OVA is better than the series but i dont know...

I am currently watching GTO, 43 aka last episode is downloading, damn it its good show and i recommend u all 2 watch it.

havent watched a lot of animes, except the classic ones like: pokemons, digimons, vatashiva candy ( ), sailor moon (now thats one of my fav ones ^^ )...

akira and mononoke hime aint animes... they r movies and actually mononoke hime was made in the us by a cartoon network's design team so not much asian anime in there anyway xD

should be a breath of fresh air from the ages ago that FMA aired. This second season goes back to the beginning of the story, it's a retelling. However, it follows the manga more closely than the first season did. (if any1's watched it + read the manga, they are wayyyy different). This version of FMA is supposed to be more closely related.





In other news, I tend to be a shouju/seinen fan for anime. That is, i like shows like....
- kanon/air/clannad (afterstory was awesome)
- lucky star
- Hayate no Gotoku
- Canvas 2 ~ Niji Iro no Sketch
- Sola
- Spice + Wolf (possibly my favourite, horo's character is extremely well played, not typical and not one-dimensional like most characteres. She's witty and charismatic, and Lawrence complements her extremely well in their travels)



yeah, very little action. either a comedy (slice of life), or a character driven show, or a drama.

Frankly, i hate shonen shows like naruto + bleach. its just... not my style. Death Note is an exception to this, I very much enjoy the mind games played by L and Light, although when it got to Part 2 of the manga (or anime), it just felt like the author lost his touch. The manga + anime in my opinion should have ended the same way as the movie (wen L....u know)
I do appreciate Bleach's amazing OST. includes some of my favourite singers and songs (yes i listen to j-pop all day) like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOZHK6AWH_E (bleach ending, one of first ones). A lot of good stuff music-wise from that show, just the show itself is not to my liking.


Also, any1 played any of KID's visual novels? they're real gems

fma season 1 ended so differently from the manga it was jaw-dropping. the problem with these long manga like claymore/fma/tenjoy tenge which don't come out every week is that, by the time a new chapter comes out, some of the earlier chapters are already forgotten. an anime that actually follow the manga (hopefully without fillers) would be a good recap.

LOVE Gantz! I'm kinda falling back on the manga, gotta catch up again, but it's pretty damn awesome. I like how unpredictable it is, you never know who dies and what happens next.

Code Geass was also awesome, although season 2 was kinda weird for me. They went overboard with all the twists and turns, I was going "WOAH, WTF?!" every other episode... Still, I think it was pretty good, ending and all. I liked Gurren Nishiki and it's crazy claw-arm.

I don't have a list of what I've seen so far. but it would probably be a long one. Don't consider myself an otaku though, cause I have a friend that's a true otaku (hikikomori, lolicon and all xD ) and I don't see us as that similar. My most favorite manga would probably be GTO, I have first 8 volumes, planning to buy the rest too.

Lately, I wasn't watching as much stuff, was hard to find time between school, WoW, etc... But I'm trying to catch up now, following Gintama (love the crazy-ass parodies), FMA2 (loved the first one), Sengoku Basara (cause it's ridiculously over-the-top), Higashi no Eden and, of course, Bleach.

Concerning Lodoss war, I have it, but never got myself to watch it. @_@

@ ava: Geass hmmmm, i highly enjoyed 1st season. 2nd season took too long to get rolling, a few fillers even with the limited time they had to complete the plot was disappointing, shirley's plot was highly disappointing (you know what i mean, i wanted her ALIVE damn it. she was my fav char). as well, i hated how a lot of fans commented on how they thought lelouch didnt die @ the end and was the one driving the carriage with CC @ the back. that just ticked me off completely because it ruins the whole Zero's Requiem thing. I do enjoy season 1's plot twists though, it kept me guessing at what would happen. The story at the time reminded me highly of Death Note, which was awesome.

Is there any realistic samurai [it would be good wit a lil of comedy] anime good as Samurai Champloo? I liked it very much, and i wanna find other samurai anime witch would impress me like SC.
